Happy Halloween!

Halloween discussion
This is something I have been working on recently for halloween, but as you may notice it's unfinished.

So, ummm, why is it not finished? Well, there has been a couple of techinical hitches at My Broken Shoe in the last week involving dying hard drives, failing old monitors, difficult new monitors and the strange case of the multiplying cables...

Anyway it's all fixed but that all involved the image being delayed - so rather than rushing to complete it and doing a bad job, I thought it would be worth posting a work in progress and explaining a bit about it and how it develops, sound good?

As you may be able to see it shows various traditional halloween characters discussing how their night went. Currently they are missing hands, feet, stuff on the wall, logs in the fire and so on.

Although you can get away without these things I always feel that it lets down the tone. Attention to detail is the key, Hopefully the more I add the less people should notice the illustration and instead concentrate on whats happening. The pink blob thing will also develop. It's always tricky to know when to stop adjusting element when there is no client or deadline!

So there's a slightly rambling part one, I imagine part two will be the finished article. (fingers crossed)

Oh and look out for a change coming to the portfolio soon...
